3 reasons not to buy samsung galaxy A3 2016

I recently adquire an A3 2016.
I dont recomend this device:

Positive:
Nice looking
Nice publicity
Nice promises

Negative:

Poor performance. Raquitic 1.5 RAM ddr3 old .... responsible of the malfunctions: suddenly freezes even when writting. It happens few times.... every day! Smart manager shows ram always 75% using just swiching on the phone.

Uneusefull for travellers: this device needs a pin number to unlock the device to use sims from other country regions. I wrote samsung and no answer.
If you try 3 times then simphone blocks asking for puk number.
It is not the sim card from the company but the inside phone hardware. Using same terms (sim pin puk) confuses salers and they easily will block as they belive 0000 or 1234 default simcards pin must work. But it is the inside simroom hardware in your device who is asking for the unlocker number, only samsung can provide and refuses to give. It shucks for travellers and bussiness men and of course for me. Useless device.

But the worst it is comming from the camera...

Original size from a zoom of the face camera galaxy A3 2016: huge jpg process gives this water color effect with lost of sharpness and details.

Camera 13Mb and promising f1,9 is surprisingly quite poor sharpness and slow poor focus: Dissapointing camera that takes too long to focus with normal light. Shutter will allow you to shoot the photo, but it will be unfocus. Many times can not focus dark skin faces focusing the backscene instead the centered person. Aperture seems to be fix around f4 so even with high light scenes it focus only one layer of the scene and unfocus all the rest distances. For bazar pictures and portraits travelling in India is a pice of crap useless. Compare to pictures taken by galaxy S6 and iphone 6 the a3  2016 has very low sharpeness, specially in portraits of faces: the details are gone such as eyebrowns hair, eyelases, sharp detailed iris eyes or wrinckles, galaxy S6 and iphone6 shows perfectly these details and focus accurately and inmediatly in compare with galaxy A3 2016 With low light unfocus shoots are more common.
Of course there is not manual options for changing jpg procesing settings to avoid the blury portrait faces looking watercolor painted when zooming on them, neither a special mode for sharp portraits.
Aperture of diafragma can not be manualy changed to obtain more sharp distance, and seems it is a fix f4 disgracefully.
No option for macro photos as in S6.
No manual option for speed control.
Iso, white balance and +/- can be used. But... changing +/- will affects the speed shutter and/or apperture to obtain less blur picture or it is just an stupid effect layer?
I am really disapointed with the slow -random focus - excessive jpg processor - unsharped pictures, sometimes blur with high light and a dissapointing always blur unfocus background (or "frontground" depending the understable unreliable focus behaviour).

Compared to my old S4 this device is a nice aluminium good looking and good size slow procesing and poor camera device.

It is the typical "deluxe looking device with poor hardware for people who can not afford to pay the S line good performance".

For the same price as an A3 2016 a oneplus2 topline or xiaomi can be purchased. Maybe camera is not much better, but hardware will boost you to the space instead the poor performance of A3 2016 (it freezes few times a day even when only writting notes or email.... everyday! and just comming out from the box with no other apps installed!).

It is a device your friends will look admired by exteriour desing and you will hate in the daily use dreaming with a fast and much better camera S6 or iphone6.
I even prefer my broken old S4 fullHD, a faster real computer with much more serial apps in compare with this poor A3 2016 HDready device.

And to end: battery can not be removed as older devices (an original 15€ battery for S4 can be purchased), and you need an stupid tool (easy to forget anywhere) to open your sim and microSD slot, looking also plastic fragile.

Nice exterior.
Poor hardware.
Bad performance since the first use day.
What can we expect after some months use downloading apps and a unprobably android future upgrade...

A device born dead since the first day.
By cheaper devices or chinese topline brands. Or an S4, S5, S6 older topline devices in offers for lower price or similar price than A3 2016.
Compared to S4 it is an old but faster an reliable device. Not talk about S6.... a whole galaxy distance from A3 2016 and a much much better camera performance (fast reliable focus, more manual options, much realistic sharp detailed shots, specially portrait faces much much more detailed).

Camera lack of sharpness in galaxy A3 2016 seems to be due to and excesive jpge process in faces, as in some shots to geometrical items the quality is much better.
But destroying the faces, washing the details as a soft water color brush was used, missing specialy the details in the eyes (poorly sharp when close portrait and completely washed 2 meter distance) are probably due to a poor software used in A3 2016 not to compite with S top camera models. Very upset and very disapointed.
